2019-02-24 - Having a Blast with Megaphase

Bright and early on a Sunday morning we were out on the road with Morgan and one of the Gauteng road marking crews from Mega Roads & Civils (Megaphase Road Marking) one of the many South African businesses that benefit from the assistance of Stefanutti Stocks Enterprise Development.

These guys use water- and air blasting techniques to clean the remnants of old paint, grease, diesel, dust and other dirt and grime from the road surface, before painting on the bright new road markings in long lasting thermal paint.

Given the attitudes of some motorists when faced with delays, it seems a bit of a thankless job sometimes, but remember, these people help make the roads safer for everyone.

It’s hot, sweaty, messy and sometimes even dangerous work, but the guys from this road crew were friendly, efficient and fun to work with. We had some good times behind the scenes on this photoshoot.

2018-07-25 - Port Elizabeth & East London - Discovery Foundation Awards

We arrived Sunday evening and spent a relaxing evening in Summerstrand.

Monday started the whirlwind again. Four hospitals in three days. Luckily the weather is fine, the hospital staff are friendly and the accommodations at The Blue Lotus Guest House in Summerstrand are heavenly.

2018-03-19 - Just can't help it ...

I was just going to take some simple cellphone snaps of my bonsai trees - honest.

Seems that one of the things they don't tell you is that after 20 years as a photographer, you just can't help yourself.

Half an hour later the first subject is dusted and polished and the shot is set up - Profoto lights and all.

I'll bet this is the only iPhone ever mounted on a +R20000 tripod setup.

2018-02-01 Discovery - Way to start the year ...

Backing up my work for January, I came across some fun photos of Chad le Clos & Wayde van Niekerk from my first shoot of the year.

What great guys!  Some celebrities still know how to keep it real.

The shoot for our client Discovery went really well, the models were great, and may I just say - Profoto kicks arse!
